Qualifications I Training I Experience
Magdalen holds a Master of Science in Family Therapy conferred by the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings’ College London in 1996. She completed clinical attachments at the Adolescent Eating Disorder Clinic, Maudsley Hospital and the Lewisham Child Guidance Clinic in London, UK.
She also holds a Bachelor of Arts ( Social Work) and Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) ( Sociology) from the National University of Singapore.
Before venturing into full time private practice, she held senior clinical, teaching and management roles in varied settings internationally and within Australia. Her roles included stints as Deputy Director, Singapore Association for Mental Health; Senior Counsellor at Student Counselling Service, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand; Senior Social Worker at Inpatient Psychiatric Ward, Wellington Hospital, New Zealand; Adjunct Social Work Lecturer at National University of Singapore; Counsellor at high schools as well community health services in Melbourne Australia.
